As the only animal shelter in the county, the Addison County Humane Society works hard to meet the needs of a growing and changing population. Since 1975 they have provided temporary shelter for over 16,000 lost, abandoned, abused or surrendered animals. Their programs and services meet a wide array of critical animal welfare needs and they provide them without funding from any other organization or any county, state or federal.
HSCC is a private, not-for-profit organization serving both Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties whose mission is to foster compassionate treatment of animals and to prevent animal suffering. They're funded solely by the generous contributions of local businesses, foundations, and individuals. Each year HSCC takes in roughly 750 - 1,000 animals (dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs and more) and work to care for and responsibly place them in loving forever homes.
Emma's Foundation for Canine Cancer of Milton, VT provides resources, referrals and funding for canine cancer care. EFFCC works to heighten canine cancer awareness, and provides resources and financial funding to pet owners who do not have ability to pay for canine cancer treatment of their beloved pet. Their focus is on sparing or prolonging the life of canines by assisting with financial support.

All Breed Rescue is a South Burlington, Vermont non-profit dog shelter dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in Vermont and from high-kill shelters in the South. They adopted out more than 350 dogs in 2011.
Green Mountain Animal Defenders (GMAD) has been protecting animals and assisting pet owners in Vermont through different initiatives since 1983. Today, GMAD, which is a volunteer-run nonprofit, continues to achieve success by mobilizing people to take action on behalf of animals through education, advocacy, outreach, and collaboration.
Pet Food Warehouse is a locally-owned, Vermont business with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. They live up to the company motto, "We Care About Your Pets!" by regularly donating food and accessories to local humane societies and animal rescue groups, and actively supporting animal welfare organizations through numerous fund-raising events and donations.
Vermont artist Jody Stahlman paints highly stylized and vivid portraits of pets and other subjects out of her Zachydog Studio in Montpelier, Vermont.
Patricia Bourque is a gifted, award-winning artist residing in both Montreal, QC and Vermont. She has a specialty in pet portraiture and equine art. Through her business, Turtle Hill Productions, Patricia sells a full line of images ranging from greeting cards, posters, limited edition reproductions as well as her original paintings. She participates annually in juried fine art and craft shows from Halifax to Florida.
Dog Mountain is located in a lovely country setting outside St. Johnsbury, Vermont. It features the Gallery and Dog Chapel ("Welcome All Creeds, All Breeds, No Dogmas Allowed") of the late Vermont artist Stephen Huneck. It is a must see for dog lovers everywhere!
